In second language learning, relative clauses are widely studied. However, research comparing Indonesian and foreign learners’ based on animacy has not been done. Besides, affects the difficulty of producing clauses. Therefore, this study investigates role in production clauses, relationship between movement distance conformity with rules This employs a descriptive case study. Data was collected from documents popular article texts learners University Muhammadiyah Malang.
